Manolescu and Stenseth sought out spaces which they could animate with dance and film.
Stenseth filmed a number of passer-bys in the street who she asked about their first kiss. Several also agreed to kiss on camera. This led her to propose a film-documentary project called the “Encyclopedia of Kissing”: a series of filmed examples of different “kinds of kisses”: “the first kiss”, “the power kiss”, “the nearly kiss” etc.
Eventually this project became The Kiss and Waste project, a series of videos about the lives of women in the places SEAS visited.
