Oskarsson is a film maker working in Umeå and Popper a choreographer working in theatre and public spaces in the UK. They visited the Union Terrace Gardens, a park right in the centre of the city of Aberdeen which is hidden from the view as it lies submerged between roads, railway and a viaduct.
They contrasted the beautiful appearance of the place and its emptiness and isolation and related it to their personal stories and associations. They imagined a project which used interaction between film and populated outdoor areas and the “surprise effect” of appearance and disappearance.
