Artist Dates
The Dates methodology was developed during the earlier SEAS Adriatic-Baltic project 2003-2005. It is a method designed to stretch or test the creative powers of an artist by putting them through an intense intercultural experience and asking them to create a work that reflects their experience. Find out more on the methodology and outcome.
Below is a list of these SEAS Dates. There was one major research and development phase in 2006-2007 involving 35 artists who presented their proposals to a gathering of the whole project group in Odessa April 2007. Not all the proposals were commissioned, but the successful projects formed the initial group of 16 SEAS productions that toured in 2008. There were several other dating activities throughout SEAS 2007-2010, usually held in parallel with a SEAS presentation involving a further 20 artists, some of whom were already involved in SEAS.
