The Creative Community was officially founded in January 2009 by its core members Maria Draghici and Irina Gâdiuță who live and work in Bucharest. The Creative Community works for laBOMBA Community Base, developing as a multi-cultural space for the self-expression of the community in a poor Bucharest neighborhood with a long tradition in the 20th century (Rahova-Uranus).

Maria Draghici works as a facilitator and artist, in a creative process based on the collaboration with the community involved. She has also worked on ActiveArt crossdisciplinary projects such as “The Sensitive Map”, “Rahova Nonstop”, “Build Your Community”, “Flexible”, “Urban Mobile Laboratory”. The ActiveArt concepts and projects generated in and for laBOMBA Rahova-Uranus Community Base include “Biluna Jam Session” (see video), “Dialogue Tables”, “Evicted Women Fashion Parade” (see video).
