Teater Giljotin

Giljotin is a leading experimental avant-guarde theatre in Sweden that stages contemporary Swedish and international drama, as well as conceives its own plays. The list of playwrights whose work it has staged include Norwegian Jon Fosse and Swedish Inger Edelfeldt.

Kia Berglund is a theatre director and artistic leader of Teater Giljotin, Stockholm.  Kia has been engaged with Giljotin since the theatre´s foundation in 1989. Along with this, she has directed theatre plays for Riksteatern (The Royal Touring Theatre), Dramaten (The Royal Drama Theatre), Göteborgs Stadteater (Gothenburg City Theatre).

Rikard Borggård is a self-taught composer and musician. Borggård´s main instruments are the piano, sampler as well as electronic “gadgets” and computer. He also composes for violin, accordion and clarinet. Borggård has been working as a professional composer since 1989 alongside his co-artistic director Berglund at Teater Giljotin.
